The site's cornerstones are "Balkers". If you feel strongly about any issue of
international impact - political, economic, humanitarian, ecological, etc. - and
can write it in a concise way, we'll set up an article (Balk) page on the site for
you.
Readers are able to reply to your Balk (known as a "Balkback"), and as we
grow we can build up a new global conversation for an emerging global era.
Ultimately I think we'll prove something I've maintained for years - Cultures
of the world are more different than alike, but people of the world are more
alike than different.
Click "Add your Balk" from any page in the Balkers area, to submit your issue.
We recommend you pattern it to the length of a newspaper editorial column,
as that will help hold readers on your page.
Anyone is welcome to Balk, or reply to a Balk posted. Remarks are subject
to minimal moderation - filtered only for threats, ethnic or other hate speech,
commercial content, and blatant disruption to other users. The site is also
not intended as a forum on religions as a primary topic.
