Except for the blog pages (Balkers area), Balkingpoints.com is built in both
LCD and CRT monitor versions. (LCD being the newer, thin-panel monitors /
CRT being the older, bulky monitors with a picture tube in them).
Using the correct link for your monitor type will greatly enhance the rotating
globe image on the main page. (CRT display resolution is set to 1024x768,
LCD to 1440x900)
If you'd like to adjust Balkers text, Netscape and Firefox users can try the
"Text Zoom" or "Zoom" options under the View menu at the top of your
browser. For Microsoft Internet Explorer users, the best solution is to
download the latest MSIE. It has a handy zoom tool at the bottom
right corner of the browser.
Google Chrome browser provides easy translations from English.

You can subscribe to email notification of new Balks, from your Profile
menu at left column.
B/P Main is a composite satellite image of how the various sectors of the
world appear at night, from that distance in space. Fascinating, and a true
sociological comment on developed versus undeveloped regions of the world.
And not completely unlike the first image ever seen by humans of our planet
from space, the stunning "Earthrise" photo (at right) shot from Apollo 8 as
it orbited the moon 24 Dec, 1968. Co-existence upon, and stewardship of,
a small planet indeed...
